According to foreign media reports, Hyundai Motor Group, which is investing heavily in electric vehicles, has hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles in addition to the commonly charged electric vehicles in the passenger car segment, and their hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck XCIENT has been exported to Europe twice, and the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles have sold more than 7,000 units in the first 8 months of this year.
And to the latest reports from foreign media, in addition to selling hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to the public, they will also sell related parts to the public, and the fuel cell system will be exported to a manufacturer in Germany.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on its official website on Monday, local time, that the fuel cell system will be supplied to a German company for the production of hydrogen-fueled commercial trucks.
According to the announcement on Hyundai Motor Group’s website, its fuel cell system brand HTWO signed a cooperation agreement on Monday with Enginius, a waste removal vehicle and truck manufacturer of the European Faun Group, to supply fuel cell systems to Enginius for the mass production of hydrogen fuel cell commercial trucks.
A Hyundai Motor Group executive also revealed that the supply of fuel cell systems to Enginius, which will have an initial fleet size of more than 1,100 hydrogen fuel cell trucks, is the first time they have supplied other manufacturers in volume and will represent a major expansion of Hyundai’s hydrogen fuel cell systems business.
