Hyundai Motor Group’s cumulative sales of pure electric vehicles in the United States exceeded 100,000

According to reports, the three major brands of Hyundai Motor Group, Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia, have sold electric vehicles in the United States since October 2014. As of January this year, their cumulative sales have reached 104,326.

Specifically, Hyundai Motor has sold a total of 51,096 electric vehicles in the United States from 2017 to January this year. The luxury car brand Genesis has sold a total of 1,964 electric vehicles since it launched its first electric vehicle in the United States last year. A total of 51,266 units have been sold since then.

In terms of models, Aini Krypton sold the most at 24,683 units, followed by Jirui EV (23,380 units), EV6 (21,608 units), Kona Electric Edition (20,560 units), Soul Electric Edition (6728 units) vehicle) etc.

Judging from the news announced by Hyundai Motor on its official website, they sold a total of 306,296 vehicles in January this year, an increase of 23,640 vehicles from 282,656 vehicles in the same period last year, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

Of the more than 300,000 vehicles sold by Hyundai Motor in January, 51,503 were sold in the domestic market, up 11.5% from a year earlier; 254,793 were sold in overseas markets, up 7.8% from a year earlier.

Car manufacturers are currently vigorously developing electric vehicles, and Hyundai Motor is no exception. They have also invested heavily in electric vehicles and have launched a variety of electric vehicles. In January this year, the sales volume was nearly 14,000, mainly IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, the combined sales of these two models exceeded 9,000 units.

Hyundai said it aims to sell 4.32 million vehicles (including the Genesis luxury brand) this year, including 3.54 million in overseas markets and 781,000 in its home market. In addition, Hyundai Motor will also launch new models such as KONA, Santa Fe and IONIQ 5 N this year.
