Huawei Watch Fit 2 with HarmonyOS to launch on July 4; specifications, pricing

The Huawei Watch Fit 2 will be launching in China on July 4 and will come with three variants all running HarmonyOS.

The Huawei Watch Fit 2 will launch at the Nova 10 series event on July 4. But, the pricing and specifications of the different variants are already available on an online Chinese retail store. Although this watch is already in other markets, its Asian launch is on the way. There will be three variants of this smartwatch, the differences are in their weight, size, and connectivity.

This is a stylish rectangle faces smartwatch that comes with some appealing features. Some of these features include health monitoring, fitness modes, and smart connectivity. The wide variety of straps gives users multiple options to match their style. The Fit 2 comes in an Active Edition, Classic Edition, and Elegant Edition. 

The straps that come with all three models start at a measurement of 120mm to 210mm fitting varying wrist lengths. Each of these watches weighs 25g (for the Active Edition) and 30g (for the other two editions). For connectivity only the Active Edition doesn’t support NFC, these are the only differences in all three models. Asides from this, they all share the same specifications.

A 1.74-inch AMOLED colour screen with a PPI resolution is 336×480 pixels. The sensor on all three Fit 2 watches is a 9-axis IMU sensor. This packs an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic, and optical heart rate sensor.

For quick control, the screen supports touch control, for waking the smartwatch there is a side button. To power up the battery, it charges with a magnetic charging thimble. This doesn’t prevent the smartwatch from being waterproof with a 5 ATM rate. There is also a speaker, microphone for calls, and a battery life of 10 days on a single charge.

There are different prices for the Active, Classic, and Elegant Editions. All three variants also come in different colours, and the Active Edition has the most colour options. Available colours on the Active are Midnight Black, Sakura Pink, and Isle Blue. Classic Edition comes in Nebula Black and Moon White colours with a leather strap. The Elegant Edition lives up to its name as it comes with somewhat metallic straps in Premium Gold and Silver Frost colour options.

This smartwatch will be available for sale in Asia, Europe, as well as some parts of Africa. Once available for purchase, it’d be available on Huawei’s official website. The price for each smartwatch is; 899 yuan (~$139) for the Active Edition. The Classic Edition steps up the price to 1,099 yuan (~$164). Most expensive of all three Fit 2 smartwatches, the Elegant Edition will retail for 1,299 yuan (~$194).
