Huawei’s European flagship new product launch conference was held in Munich, Germany, and Huawei P60 Pro officially landed in overseas markets and entered Europe.

However, only the P60 Pro of the P60 series came to Europe this time, in addition to the Mate X3 folding screen phone that will also be available in Europe later this month.

The Huawei P60 Pro is available in Europe and the UK from today in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for €1,200 / £1,200 and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for €1,400 / £1,300. The Huawei P60 Pro is available in black and Pearl Rococo, with the black version having a soft-touch back and the Pearl Rococo version using natural mineral pearl powder to create a mother-of-pearl effect. It’s worth noting that in the UK, the 8GB+256GB version is only available in black, while the 12GB+512GB version is only available in Pearl Rococo. Huawei is also offering a perk for UK users who purchase the P60 Pro from Huawei’s online store before June 5, they will receive a free Huawei Watch GT 3 (limited quantity). If you choose the 512GB version, you’ll also get a voucher worth £100 to spend in the store. the P60 Pro comes with a 90mm telephoto lens, a 4815mAh battery, and support for 88W wired / 50W wireless fast charging.

The Huawei Mate X3 folding screen phone will be available in Europe on May 22 and in the UK on May 26, with pre-orders starting today. The phone is available in only one configuration and will cost €2,200 / £2,000. If you buy the Mate X3 from a Huawei store in the UK before June 5, you’ll also get a free Huawei Watch GT 3 (while supplies last). the Mate X3 is the first phone to receive a double five-star rating from SGS Switzerland, with both screens scoring top marks for drop resistance.

Both phones will ship with EMUI 13.1 and come with the AppGallery app store pre-installed. Huawei says AppGallery is the third largest app store in the world, with 580 million global monthly active users and 6 million registered developers.

At the launch event, Huawei also announced that the Huawei P60 Pro has achieved the world’s No. 1 DXOMARK mobile image score, according to the latest DXOMARK rankings. This is the second time that Huawei P60 Pro has been recognized by an authoritative imaging organization after winning the 2023 TIPA World Award for “Best Shooting Smartphone”.

With a total score of 156 in the DXOMARK image test, the Huawei P60 Pro is the new top of the DXOMARK global image ranking, thanks to its outstanding performance in still image capture, excellent zoom and significantly improved video effects compared to its predecessor.

DXOMARK’s image evaluation of the camera is as follows:

"As Huawei's new generation flagship model, the Huawei P60 Pro, with its powerful hardware configuration and excellent software solutions, has set new top scores in several imaging sub-categories of the DXOMARK image test: photos (exposure, color, autofocus), zoom, bokeh (bokeh effect) and video stabilization; as well as the highest scores in all user scenario scores.

The device comes with a f / 1.4-f / 4.0 multi-stop variable aperture (main camera) that automatically switches aperture depending on lighting conditions and scene content, making the Huawei P60 Pro particularly good in DXOMARK exposure and focus tests, especially in low-light conditions. Fast and accurate autofocus, good texture/noise balance, and accurate and pleasing color rendering make the still image quality of the Huawei P60 Pro outstanding in all lighting conditions.

Another key advantage of the Huawei P60 Pro is its macro image capability. The device's macro photography capabilities can be applied to two different lenses, ultra-wide angle and telephoto, making the image quality closer to what a DSLR can achieve while allowing the photographer to keep a certain distance and capture the subject more easily. In terms of video, the Huawei P60 Pro also delivers key video improvements compared to its predecessor.

On the downside, the Huawei P60 Pro sometimes has less than natural skin tones in low-dark video environments, and video transitions can suffer from poor focus. In addition, the device sometimes suffers from image artifacts such as halo effect and ringing effect".
