HP printers were exposed to 9.1 points of a serious vulnerability

HP recently released a security bulletin and found the number “CVE-2023-1707” a “serious” vulnerability, its CVSS score of 9.1 points. Printers including the HP Enterprise LaserJet and HP LaserJet Managed are affected.

HP said the vulnerability is strong and widespread, and that enabling IPsec in FutureSmart version 5.6 could lead to user information leakage.

HP has now released temporary firmware to mitigate the impact of this “serious” vulnerability. Given the current situation, HP has revealed little more information about the vulnerability.
