HP today released a Z6 G5 A workstation, equipped with an AMD Threadripper 7000 processor, able to configure up to 3 high-performance graphics cards.

The Z6 G5 A is described as having an AMD Threadripper PRO CPU with up to 96 cores in a single socket, support for up to 3 high-end NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada GPUs or AMD GPUs, and support for 8-channel memory. In addition, officials say HP’s new workstation has a redesigned layout with increased airflow and more than 20 built-in temperature sensors that adjust fan speeds in real time to maintain quiet operation. The Z6 G5 A is built to last after 360,000 hours of rigorous testing, MIL-STD testing, and certifications for professional applications. For expandability, the Z6 G5 A workstation offers six PCIe slots and 12 NVMe SSD slots.

The HP Z6 G5 A is expected to be available in November 2023 and in other countries later this year.

The AMD Threadripper 7000 processor was announced tonight, featuring the Zen 4 architecture with up to 96 cores and 192 threads.
