According to the official news of Hozon Automobile, Hozon Automobile and Hong Kong Science and Technology Park signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Kung Kung Convention Center in Hong Kong.
According to the content of the memorandum of cooperation, the two sides agreed to cooperate as follows:
- Hozon Auto will set up its international headquarters in the Hong Kong Science Park.
- Hozon Auto will set up its international headquarters in the Hong Kong Science Park. It plans to invest approximately RMB 3.2 billion over the next five years in the construction of a 40,000-square-foot intelligent R&D center and a big data center.
- It is expected to employ close to 600 R&D talents, attracting more new science and innovation talents to settle in the Science Park, and assisting Hong Kong in connecting with the mainland industrial chain.
- Hozon Auto will seek a US$200 million equity investment program in Hong Kong.
Hozon Auto said the move will help it move to a new stage as a global technology-based enterprise. Currently, Hozon Auto has a series of “forward-looking technologies” under its banner, including the Shanhai Platform, Tiangong Battery, and Haozhi Technology Brand 2.0.
Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) has the largest and most comprehensive technological innovation resources and R&D ecosystem in Hong Kong, with more than 13,000 researchers, nearly 1,400 startups and a network of more than 300 partners, and has supported more than 10 unicorns in the past.
