Honor Play 40 Plus launched with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC; Price, Specifications

In China, Honor Play 40 Plus, the company’s newest budget-friendly device, was launched. A MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the most recent smartphone in the Honor Play series, which also has a display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Honor Play 40 Plus comes in four distinct colour schemes, features 256GB of inbuilt storage, and 4GB of RAM. It has two rear cameras, each with a 50-megapixel main sensor, which is set up in substantial ring-shaped camera modules.

The 6.74-inch Full HD+ IPS display on the Honor Play 40 Plus has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The front-facing camera is located in a waterdrop notch in the middle of the display. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and an Adreno Mali-G57 GPU power the new Honor phone. By using leftover storage, the internal memory can be artificially increased to an additional 5GB. It will boot up on Android 12-based MagicUI 6.1.

The optics of the Honor Play 40 Plus includes a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth of field camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Honor offers a 5-megapixel, the f/2.2-aperture selfie camera on the front for taking pictures of oneself. Additionally, the phone has internal storage that may go up to 256GB.

A 6,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W rapid charging is included in the Honor Play 40 Plus. According to claims, the battery can support video playback for 23 hours. It weighs 196 grammes and is 167.48×76.85×8.27mm in size. The Honor Play 40 Plus has a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C connector, GPS, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and 5G connectivity options. Compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and light sensor are among the sensors on board. For biometric authentication, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also present.
