Huawei’s spin-off smartphone brand Honor refreshes their midrange device catalogue with a new entry, the Honor Play 30M. This new device is an entry into the Play 30 series that became official earlier this year, holding a base model and a Plus model. What improvements in terms of upgrades does this new device from Honor bring to the table? Let’s find out by taking a look at its specifications and features.

Similar to its predecessor, this new device comes with the same processor, screen size and battery capacity. In terms of design, the new device gets some major additions to its rear ends, such as an extra camera lens and a new cutout style. Asides from this change, the Play 30M and the Play 30 are birds of the same feature.

In close comparison with its predecessor, the new Honor Play 30M adds a new 2MP depth-of-field lens to improve its photography abilities. There is also a change in the camera layout on the device’s rear side, the main camera lens sits above the secondary lens leaving the flash on the right-hand side. Just below the flash is another cutout that doesn’t hold and sensor, but helps fill up the square camera layout for improvements to the device’s overall design. On the screen we have the 5MP selfie camera that sits in a water-drop cutout just like we see on the Honor Play 30.
Honor Play 30M price and specifications
The new Honor Play device will make its way to regions where its manufacturer’s products retail, such as Europe. Asia, Africa, and a few others. Retail has already kicked off in China and users can grab this device for 1299 Yuan (~$180). There are three colour options with this device Titanium Empty Silver, Aurora Blue, and Magic Night Black.
