During the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC) event, Zhao Ming, the Honor CEO., delivered a keynote speech and made an exciting announcement. At the end of his speech, Ming revealed details about Honor’s upcoming folding screen phone, the Magic V2. He described it as a device that will provide a revolutionary folding screen experience.
During the MWC event, Ming officially stated that the Honor Magic V2 will be launched on July 12. He also emphasized Honor’s focus on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in smartphones, particularly in imaging systems. He mentioned that Honor is progressively adopting new technologies and incorporating them into their most advanced products.
Regarding folding screens, the CEO acknowledged the challenge of achieving a lightweight design, which has been a significant hurdle. However, he assured the audience that Honor has successfully overcome the weight and portability issues with the latest Honor Magic V2 through continuous research and development efforts.
Reports have revealed that Honor devices with model numbers VER-AN00 and VER-AN10 are the two variants of the Magic V2. One of them is said to be the Magic V2, while the other is the Honor Magic V2 Supreme Edition. These devices are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively.
