Honor has finalized a new launch event in Barcelona on February 27, which is expected to release the Honor Magic 5 series of phones, as well as the overseas version of the Magic Vs folding screen phone. Before the official launch, German tech media WinFuture.de and reliable source @snoopytech have shared the renders and specifications of the Honor Magic 5 Lite in advance.

First of all, from the renders, the Honor Magic 5 Lite is somewhat similar in appearance to Huawei’s Mate 40/50 models, with upgrades in battery capacity, screen and camera compared to its predecessor.

It is worth noting that the Honor Magic 5 Lite uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chip as its predecessor, and only offers 6GB+128GB as a storage combination.

The Honor Magic 5 Lite has been upgraded from IPS to OLED in terms of screen material, with a 6.67-inch screen on the front, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits. In addition, unlike its predecessor, the fingerprint sensor has been changed to an under-screen solution instead of being placed on the side.

The Honor Magic 5 Lite has a 5100mAh battery, a 64MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide angle and a 2MP macro camera on the back, and a 16MP front-facing camera on the front.

In terms of system, the Honor Magic 5 Lite does not ship with Android 13, but with Magic UI 6.1, which is based on Android 12. The device is priced at 369 euros (currently about 2,716 CNY) in Europe, 20 euros more expensive than its predecessor (currently about 147 CNY).
