Hongqi: Red Flag EV sales exceeded 8,500 units up 120% YOY, up 339% in the first five months

FAW today released the latest data: May red flag new energy sales of more than 8500 units, an increase of 120%; January-May sales of 25389 units, an increase of 339%.

FAW Hongqi unveiled its new energy sub-brand “Qi Miao Double Wings” at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, which means “the eagle spreads its wings and inspires life”, and the two new products, Red Flag E001 and Red Flag E202, were unveiled simultaneously.

The Red Flag E001 is based on the “Banner” super architecture FMEs, with the interior design of “multi-dimensional connectivity and dynamic space”, equipped with AR HUD, 6+15.5-inch curved duplex screen; the range of 600 kilometers for the battery exchange model, and the long-range fast-charging model. CTP battery design solution, range up to 800 km; equipped with high-performance front and rear dual motors, total power 455 kW, peak torque 756 N・m, zero hundred acceleration only 3.9 seconds.

The Red Flag E001 will be officially launched in November this year, and the long-range version has been opened for blind ordering. 199 yuan for ordering can enjoy 7 rights and benefits, including a RMB 30,000 upgrade package, lifetime warranty for the first owner (including three electric power), free lifetime maintenance, rescue, pick-up and delivery services, etc. The Red Flag E202 will be officially launched in February 2024.

The brand logo of the Red Flag energy-saving car is “Flag to win”, which means “ideals fly and dreams come true”, and the four new products of Red Flag H6, new Red Flag HS5, Red Flag HS3 and new Red Flag HS7 were unveiled.

The Red Flag H6, with an official guide price of RMB 192,800 – 239,800, is equipped with a 2.0T engine with an 8AT transmission, maximum power of 185 kW, peak torque of 380 N・m and zero hundred acceleration of 6.8 seconds.

  • The HS3 is expected to be launched in July.
  • The HS7 is expected to be officially launched in August.
