Honda’s electric SUV model Prologue unveiled, with wheelbase of more than 3 meters

According to Japanese news, Honda Motor recently unveiled its new pure electric SUV for the North American market – Prologue. Judging from its size, the car is a mid-sized SUV, built on the General Motors Alteon platform.

The new car will be available for pre-order in the North American market within this year and will be launched locally early next year. The starting price will be between US$45,000 and US$50,000 (currently price is approximately RMB 329,000 to RMB 365,000).

The overall design language of the car is similar to most of Honda’s current models, which are more conservative and not radical. Configurations such as through-type headlights and hidden door handles are not found on this car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4876/1988/1643mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3093mm.

The interior of the new car also does not adopt the popular buttonless design, and the design is more traditional. The car is equipped with an 11-inch full LCD instrument and an 11.3-inch floating central control screen. Below it are two rows of physical buttons and two knobs. In addition, the new car’s in-car system has built-in Google services and is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of power, the car will be available in front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The maximum power of the four-wheel drive model is expected to reach 288 horsepower. The power parameters of the front-wheel drive model have not been disclosed yet. The matching battery capacity is 85kWh, with a cruising range of approximately 300 miles (approximately 482.8 kilometers) under EPA operating conditions, and supports DC fast charging, which can add 65 miles (approximately 104.61 kilometers) of cruising range in 10 minutes, slow charging time Estimated to be no more than 8 hours.
