At the 2024 Tokyo Modification Show, Honda WR-V FIELD EXPLORER CONCEPT was unveiled. The car is positioned as a small SUV and adds an off-road package to the regular version of the WR-V.

From the appearance, the car is equipped with a blackened grille, and the Honda logo on the grille is replaced with HONDA blackened letters. The chrome trim above the center grille has been replaced with a black trim strip, and is equipped with three yellow LED light strips. The fog lights on both sides of the front of the car have also been replaced with yellow, because warm-toned lights have stronger penetrating power. The silver luggage rack on the regular version is more decorative, while the luggage rack on this car looks more practical.

Looking from the side of the body, the car is equipped with smaller blackened rims and large low-profile off-road tires, which can provide sufficient grip on complex non-paved roads. In addition, the silver trim strips under the doors have been replaced with black, and three trapezoidal decorations have been added, giving a stronger overall sense of hierarchy.

The new car is expected to use the interior of the regular Honda WR-V. The straight line design and rectangular air-conditioning outlets reflect a relatively simple design style. The car is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel with multi-function buttons on both sides, and is equipped with a more traditional double-ring pointer instrument. However, the center console is equipped with a large-size central control screen, which can be regarded as keeping up with the trend of the times. In terms of power, referring to the regular version of the Honda WR-V model, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5L engine with a maximum power of 121 horsepower and a peak torque of 145 N·m. The transmission system is matched with a CVT continuously variable transmission.
