Honda Announces September Sales of Selected Models

Auto Honda announced today the sales of some models in September. This is also the second joint venture car company to “report work” today after SAIC Volkswagen.

Summarizes as follows:

  • All-new Accord: 15,338 units
  • All-new generation Breeza(sister model of Dongfeng Honda CR-V): 14,622 units
  • Model (sister model of Honda Civic): 14,241 units

Honda’s new-generation Accord was officially launched in May this year. The new car is launched in two models: fuel and plug-in hybrid. The e:PHEV strong electric smart hybrid model has a market guide price of RMB 225,800-RMB 258,800, and the sharp T electric model has a market guide price of RMB 179,800. -RMB 228,800.

The length, width and height of the car are 4980/1862/1449mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2830mm. However, the new generation Accord e:PHEV model has been widely controversial among netizens because of its high price and the fact that the power battery “occupies” part of the trunk space.

The e: PHEV model is equipped with the fourth-generation i-MMD dual-motor hybrid system. The 2.0L direct-injection Atkinson engine has a maximum thermal efficiency of 41%. It is matched with an E-CVT dual-motor gearbox, with a driving speed of 175km/h, and a built-in 17.7kWh Battery, WLTC pure electric range 82km. The Rui·T model is equipped with a 1.5L direct injection turbocharged engine, matched with a CVT gearbox, with a maximum output of 141kW and a peak torque of 260N·m.

The September car sales of major car companies (as of press time):

  • Voyah Auto delivered 5,010 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 99%; cumulative sales from January to September increased by 102% compared with the same period.
  • Wuling Bingo sold 24,650 vehicles in September, with cumulative sales of 126,174 vehicles.
  • GAC Aion delivered 51,596 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 72%; cumulative sales from January to September were 350,986 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 93%.
  • Li Auto delivered 36,060 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 212.7%.
  • HiPhi Y model delivered 1,556 units in September, a month-on-month increase of 52.4%.
  • SAIC Volkswagen’s ID. family received orders for more than 20,000 vehicles in September, of which the ID.3 model accounted for 15,000 vehicles. The ID. family has sold more than 160,000 vehicles as of the end of September.
  • Skyworth Automobile delivered a total of 3,635 units in September 2023 and exported 1,420 units overseas, a year-on-year increase of 142%.
  • The Hongqi brand sold 39,000 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 18%.
  • Leapmotor delivered 15,800 units in September, and a total of 44,325 units were delivered in the third quarter.
  • Changan Automobile: Sales of its own brand new energy vehicles exceeded 50,000 units, and 3,083 Avita 11 units were delivered.
  • Jihu Motors delivered 2,016 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 77% for all models.
  • Honda announced the sales of some models in September, with Accord, exceeding 10,000.
