Prior to the planned adoption of NACS, Honda has formed a joint venture with BMW, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis to design a new charging standard called “CCS Combo (Combined Charging System)” and plans to build a global electric vehicle fleet based on this charging standard. The plan was to build a global EV charging network based on this charging standard, but the plan did not succeed due to various obstacles.
