After the OnPodcast podcast explored TikTok’s Metaverse Max, OnMSFT reported on how Microsoft’s HoloLens mixed reality headset is helping European manufacturing giant Novo Nordisk. In a press release on Monday, Elliott Smith detailed Novo Nordisk’s use of HoloLens 2.
As an enterprise-class device, Novo Nordisk is most optimistic about the “Augmented Instructions” operation brought by Hololens 2, which can help employees easily grasp the new process requirements.
Compared to boring traditional paper instructions, this mixed reality (MR) headset not only provides 3D instructions but also provides demonstrations of production line processes such as turning levers/bolts.
In addition, the pharmaceutical giant emphasized the Remote Assist experience, with Novo Nordisk technician Alex Knudsen saying.
“We don’t have to wait for an engineer to arrive on-site, we can just put on the HoloLens and get guidance on the process, which is obviously a great option.”
