Google to stop production of Pixel A series phones, Pixel 7a is the last

0

Google will launch flagship Pixel phones every year, as well as more affordable Pixel A series phones. The Pixel A series of phones has always been loved by consumers because of their performance and price advantages. However, it was recently reported that Google may launch the last Pixel A-series phone this year – the Pixel 7a.

According to whistleblower Yogesh Brar, Google will not launch the Pixel 8a because the difference between the Pixel A series phones and the flagship Pixel phones is getting smaller and smaller. Judging from the specifications of the currently circulating Pixel 7a, this statement seems to have some truth. The Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 have nearly identical specs, with some differences in screen size and cameras. In terms of price, the Pixel 7a is also $50 higher than its predecessor, Pixel 6a, reaching $499, which is only $100 cheaper than Pixel 7. In this case, it doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense for Google to go ahead and release two phones that are so similar.

Yogesh Brar also said that Google will replace the Pixel A series of phones in its product line with an annual foldable phone. The foldable phone will be a successor to the upcoming Pixel Fold. However, it also means that it will be difficult for consumers to buy a Pixel phone under $500.

For users who like the Pixel A series of phones, this news is undoubtedly a blow. While there are plenty of other low-priced options on the market, the Pixel A-series phones always feel solid and solid, and offer great value for money. If this is indeed their last year, then we can only hope that Google will bring us better products.
