Google released May updates for Pixel phones: Improved touchscreen response on Pixel 7 Pro and more

Google has released a May 2023 update for Pixel phones. This is a repair update that solves a bug that occasionally causes lock screen UI elements to overlap with the home screen launcher interface. Additionally, users can expect improved touchscreen responsiveness on the Pixel 7 Pro in certain situations.

The May update is currently rolling out to Google Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G and newer models (Based on Android 13), and the push is expected to end in about a week and will be done in stages.

The Pixel Watch smartwatch is also getting the May update, which Google says includes “the latest security patches for Pixel Watch users.”

Google releases large “Feature Drop” updates every three months, with the next major update coming in June.
