Google Pixel phones get a lot of attention, but market share is sluggish

0

Although Google Pixel phones have received a lot of attention, sales have not been satisfactory.

According to a new report from Statista Consumer Insights, Google Pixel phones have a very low global market share, with users in only a handful of countries preferring the phone. Among them, Australia, the United States and Canada are the most popular countries for Google Pixel phones, with market shares of 5.4%, 4.6% and 4.5%, respectively. In countries such as India, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain, Google Pixel phones have less than 3 percent of the market.

There could be a number of reasons why Google’s Pixel phones have struggled to crack the market. For one thing, Google hasn’t rolled out Pixel phones to all countries and channels, which limits its potential user base. On the other hand, Google has not invested more resources and energy in marketing than other brands, resulting in the lack of popularity and attractiveness of Pixel phones. While the Google Pixel phone has excellent software support, unique features, and a reasonable price, those advantages don’t seem to be enough to make it stand out.

It was previously reported that last week Google released a new mid-range phone, the Pixel 7a and it remains to be seen whether Google can reverse the decline of Pixel phones.
