In today’s news, well-known tipster Roland Quandt announced the Google Pixel 7 Pro’s detailed parameters. It is reported that the Google Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7-inch screen with Corning Victus glass, a resolution of 1440×3120, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a Google Tensor G2 processor, a 50 million wide-angle main camera + 48 million telephotos + 12 million super wide-angle triple cameras on the rear, 10.8 million on the front, and 12GB of RAM as standard. The battery is 5000mAh.

The Google Tensor G2 is a flagship Soc customized by Google, with a single-core score of 1068 and a multi-core score of 3149.

When compared to the competition, the Google Tensor G2 performance is comparable to the Snapdragon 888, with a significant gap to the Snapdragon 8+ and MediaTek Tiangui 9000+.

Specifically, the Snapdragon 888 Geekbench scores around 1100 single-core and 3500 multi-core, while the Snapdragon 8+ scores around 1300 single-core and 4300 multi-core. The MediaTek Skyguard 9000+ scored over 1300 single-core and 4300 multi-core.

Therefore, Google Pixel 7 Pro in this year’s Android flagship camp, performance belongs to the bottom of the class, compared to the Pixel 6 Pro using Google Tensor, Google Tensor G2 performance does not have much to improve.

According to the news, Google Tensor G2 consists of two Cortex X1 mega cores, two Cortex A76 mega cores and four Cortex A55 small cores, and the CPU performance has only improved by about 10%.

It is worth noting that the Google Tensor G2 GPU has been upgraded from the previous generation Mali-G78 to Mali-G710, with a performance increase of around 20%.
