Google l/O 2023 conference to commence on May 10: Expected Android 14, Bard chatbot and more

Google announced that the 2023 annual I/O conference will be held on May 10 in Mountain View, California, USA. The event will be “open to a limited audience in person and open to all users online,” the company said.

This year, the biggest expectations will revolve around all the artificial intelligence technology Google is developing. You can look forward to progress on the “Bard” chatbot, Google’s response to ChatGPT and other products to generate images, write code for applications, or test product prototypes. Google is expected to launch more than 20 artificial intelligence products this year, many of which may be showcased at its developer conference.

The Google I/O event website shows a countdown timer and other information, arranged in tiles with a notification space similar to the screen of a mobile device like a tablet or foldable smartphone.

I/O conferences are usually a focused event for getting information about the next big Android release — Google has previewed Android 14 for developers, and Google is expected to unveil a variety of new hardware. Android and Chrome now run on screens of all sizes, from wrists to TVs and everything in between, opening up even more possibilities.

There are rumors that Google will release the Google Pixel 7A and Pixel Fold folding screen phones at this event, and may also launch a new Pixel tablet.
