A 31-year-old senior Google software engineer jumped to his death from the 14th floor of Google’s headquarters in Chelsea, New York, last Thursday night, according to local media Nypost.

Police said they received multiple calls around 11:30 p.m. that night about an unconscious person lying on 15th Street near a building. When police arrived at the scene, they found the man unconscious and immediately transported him to Bellevue Hospital, but he died despite resuscitation.

Police found handprints on the parapet of the 14th-floor open deck at the scene and inferred that the man had jumped from there. At this time, police have not found any suicide note or video of the jump. The man’s identity has not yet been released.

The suicide comes on the heels of the suicide of Google employee Jacob Pratt in February, when Pratt also hanged himself in a Chelsea apartment. He was 33 years old and also worked at Google’s headquarters.
