Google hardware product design director Ivy Ross recently participated in a podcast show and confirmed the existence of Google’s second Pixel foldable phone, but did not disclose other details.

Ivy Ross said only that the Pixel device would “surpass all existing foldable products,” which led Google to delay the product’s release.

ivy Ross said the decision to forgo the launch of a second foldable Pixel device was due to stringent requirements for quality and innovation. Ross said he was proud of the team’s strength and ability to create a better experience than existing foldable phones.

It was previously reported that Google is developing a flip foldable phone similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. It’s unclear whether the Pixel that Ross is talking about will be the rumored foldable phone.
