0

Following the launch of QPR2, Google today pushed Android 13 QPR3 Beta 1 to Pixel phones.

Android 13 QPR3 will be released to consumers in June and will be the last major quarterly update to Android 13. Google has previously hinted that it won’t be testing QPR3 publicly, but will instead upgrade directly from Android 13 QPR2 Beta to Android 14 Beta.

Unlike the Developer Preview and Beta versions of unreleased Android releases, these versions are for general use.

For users in the current Android Beta program, QPR3 may only be available in a Beta version, as Google says the preview will “continue until Android 14 Beta begins. Android 14 Beta 1 is expected to be released in April.

If users participate in the QPR3 Beta, they will automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update when Android 14 Beta 1 becomes available. There is no separate program to opt-in.

If users have opted in to the Beta program for QPR2, they will receive QPR3 immediately without performing any action. however, if users want to fall back without wiping device data, they can opt out and wait for the stable March (QPR2) update by ignoring QPR3 Beta 1.
