We learned a few days ago that the previously planned entry-level model of HUMMER EV EV2 may be cancelled. It was previously reported that the price of this entry-level version will be lowered to Around $80,000. For reference, the cheapest HUMMER EV product series currently on sale is the EV2X model, which starts at US$95,000. At present, the official stated that this statement is purely speculation and will not make any comments.

According to overseas media data, the cumulative sales of HUMMER EV in 2023 will be 3,260 vehicles, and the sales volume in the first quarter of 2024 will reach 1,668 vehicles. The sales performance has achieved relatively significant growth. In addition, the production of vehicles is also growing slowly.

According to previous news, unlike the existing models of the HUMMER EV family, which focuses on “powerful bricks to fly”, the entry-level version EV2 may have “only” 625 horsepower. At the same time, the new car will not provide air suspension, rear-wheel steering, crab mode and other functions, and it will be equipped with two electric motors and a smaller battery pack, with a cruising range of only 250 miles (approximately 402 kilometers).
