Global semiconductor manufacturers’ revenue ranking: AMAT lithography giant ASML top two

CINNO Research released a report, that said the top 10 global listed companies in the semiconductor equipment business revenue ranking in the first half of 2022 revenue totaled $47.3 billion (about RMB 334.411 billion ), an increase of 4.2% year-on-year, down 7.6% from the previous year.

In the second quarter of 2022, the top 10 listed companies in the global semiconductor equipment business revenue ranking revenue totaled $23.9 billion (about RMB 168.973 billion), basically the same as the total revenue in the first quarter of 2022.

The reports noted that the top 10 listed companies in the first half of 2022 were the same as the top 10 equipment vendors in the first quarter of 2022, with a slight change in ranking.

  • US company Applied Materials (AMAT) remains in first place with revenues of more than $10 billion (approximately RMB 70.7 billion) in the first half of 2022.
  • Dutch company Asmac (ASML) regained its ranking to second in the first half of 2022, from fourth in the first quarter of 2022.
  • U.S. company Panlin (LAM) remains unchanged in third place.
  • The Japanese company Tokyo Electron (TEL) fell from second place in the first half of 2022 to fourth, from second in the first quarter of 2022.

In addition, in terms of revenue amount, the top four equipment vendors’ semiconductor businesses have all generated more than $7.6 billion (approximately RMB 53.732 billion) in revenue in the first half of 2022.
