GIGABYTE announced today that the Z790 AORUS TACHYON motherboard has successfully achieved the performance of memory air-cooled XMP DDR5-8333, and also passed the DDR5-9300 air-cooled overclocking verification.

Officially, GIGABYTE’s exclusive High Bandwidth function allows players to use XMP memory without changing the memory frequency to further increase the overall bandwidth to provide better memory performance. With the help of these unique technologies, the Z790 AORUS XTREME and Z790 AORUS MASTER can successfully make the memory complete the performance test at the speed of XMP DDR5-8000. And the Z790 AORUS TACHYON is assisted by a special overclocking kit to improve performance, not only increasing the memory XMP speed to DDR5-8333 but also further achieving the result of air-cooled overclocking DDR5-9300.

The memory using Hynix A-die chips has already been launched, which can reach DDR5-7200 specifications, and DDR5-7800 models will be launched later.
