General Motors has started production of the Hummer EV SUV version for delivery by Q1

General Motors has begun production of an SUV version of the Hummer electric vehicle at its Plant Zero in Michigan, the company’s spokeswoman Nicole Schmitz said. This production is for the SUV version, and GM already began delivering the truck version of the Hummer EV in December 2021. in October 2022, GM announced that it had built 782 Hummer EVs during 2022 and said it had about 90,000 pre-orders for both the truck and SUV versions. Last summer the Wall Street Journal reported that GM was only building about 12 Hummer EVs per day. GM expects to produce the Hummer EV series at a much faster pace than last year.

The Hummer EV provides a single motor, dual motor, three-motor power system, the maximum power can exceed 1000 horsepower, the maximum torque can exceed 15592N・m, 100 km acceleration in 3 seconds or less, with the acceleration performance of the supercar. In addition, the car also has a “Crab Walk” mode, which enables four-wheel steering and is equipped with an adaptive air suspension system to provide strong passing performance. In terms of the most interesting charging range, the Hummer EV will be equipped with GM’s latest Ultium battery pack with a capacity of 50-200kWh, which can be used with 350kW high-speed charging piles to add 160km of range in 10 minutes, and some models can have a range of around 640km.
