GALAX launched the HOF EXTREME 50 PCIe 5.0 SSD at the end of March this year, with a speed of up to 10,000 MB/s and a price of RMB 2,499 for 2TB.

Now, the official released the temperature test data of this SSD. The data shows that with the support of the small fan and active radiator, the SSD temperature can be well controlled at around 42 degrees Celsius.

As shown in the figure above, the temperature of GALAX HOF EXTREME 50 PCIe 5.0 SSD is 40 degrees Celsius in daily use, 42 degrees Celsius when writing a single large-capacity file, and only 43 degrees Celsius when running. This shows that the active heat sink that comes with this SSD can completely suppress the heat of the PCIe 5.0 SSD.

According to previous reports GALAX HOF EXTREME 50 SSD is equipped with DRAM LPDDR4 / DDR4 cache and uses 232-layer NAND flash memory. Phison’s first PCIe 5.0 master is used, which uses the new ECC algorithm technology and the fifth-generation LDPC error correction capability.

In terms of appearance, HOF EXTREME 50 SSD is a brand-new upgrade for the heat dissipation vest, using large-area pure copper heat dissipation fins, a special grille shape to increase the heat dissipation area, and a new GALAX smart small fan. According to the official statement, HOF EXTREME 50 SSD uses liquid metal silver combined with a high-gloss edge design to bring a more textured visual and sensory experience.

In terms of performance, the continuous read and write speed of the 2TB version can reach 10000/9500 MB/s, and the random read and write speed is 1500,000/1250,000 IOPS.
