At today’s 21st Guangzhou International Auto Show in 2023, GAC Group reviewed the results achieved in deepening the implementation of the NEXT plan this year in terms of independent brands, energy ecology, and internationalization, and It was announced that all solid-state batteries will be installed in vehicles in 2026.

In addition, GAC Group made the world premiere of its GAC ERA smart flagship hydrogen-electric concept car at the auto show, and its five major vehicle brands, GAC Trumpchi, Aion, Haopin, GAC Honda, and GAC Toyota, also made their debut simultaneously.
GAC Group stated that GAC Aian has launched the dual-brand layout of Aian and Haobin, and its annual production and sales will exceed 500,000 vehicles. Since June this year, GAC Aion has achieved consecutive monthly profits.
It is noticed that GAC Trumpchi is developing PHEVs and launching three new energy products: E9, ES9, and E8 this year. From January to October, GAC Trumpchi achieved sales of over 330,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%, further improving profitability. GAC’s independent brand goal is to “sprint one million sales and achieve full profitability.”
In terms of charging and swapping services, so far, GAC Group has built nearly a thousand charging and swapping stations in more than 150 cities across the country, achieving full coverage of first- and second-tier cities and the four major economic circles. In addition, the first Inpa battery factory with an investment of 10.9 billion RMB and 36GWh will be put into mass production at the end of this month.

GAC Group has listed solid-state batteries, cobalt-free batteries, low-cobalt batteries, sodium-ion batteries, etc. as key technological research topics. Among them, solid-state batteries have made breakthrough progress. It is claimed that when the battery energy density reaches 400Wh/Kg, it can meet the safety and reliability requirements of batteries in extreme environments. It is planned to be installed in vehicles in 2026.
The GAC ERA Smart Clean flagship hydrogen-electric concept car released at this auto show is based on GAC’s latest multi-energy platform architecture, equipped with hydrogen fuel cells and front and rear axle distributed motors, achieving 540 horsepower and a long range of 800km + , zero emission characteristics.
