The company is owned by Guangzhou Automobile Group, Guangzhou Automobile Passenger Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Automobile Eyen New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. in the proportion of 23%, 26% and 51% respectively, and plans to complete the production line in 2025, capable of producing 400,000 sets of IDU electric drive system assembly and 100,000 sets of GMC hybrid electric coupling system motor and electric control annually.
GAC Group said that the establishment of the electric drive technology company will help GAC Group to control the core technology of electric drive and realize part of the electric drive self-production. In the future in the field of electric drive, Guangzhou Auto Group will self-research and self-production, joint venture production, outsourcing “three-way” to ensure the stability of the supply chain and reduce the procurement costs of core components.
According to the introduction, as the “heart” of new energy vehicles, the electric drive system plays the role of “engine + ECU electronic control unit + transmission” in fuel vehicles, which directly affects the power, economy, comfort and safety of new energy vehicles. Core performance.
GAC Group pointed out that the company has established a complete electric drive research and development system, with a full range of talents in the field, with the ability to develop high-voltage electric control, high-performance motors, multi-mode reducer and integrated electric drive technology, and can customize the development of electric drive products to match the performance of the vehicle.
