GAC AION Y Plus EV launched in Thailand, priced from RMB 221,000

GAC Aion released its first overseas model AION Y Plus in Bangkok, Thailand today. Gu Huinan, general manager of Aian Auto, said at the press conference that in the future, the brand will gradually release localized production, sales and services in Thailand, helping Thailand accelerate to become the center of the electric vehicle industry in Southeast Asia.

According to the press conference, the Aian Y Plus model has been launched in Thailand in two versions: 490 Elite and 550 Ultra, priced at 1.0699 million baht and 1.2999 million baht.

It was previously reported that 100 units of AION Y Plus were ready for shipment at Nansha Port in Guangzhou on August 21, and the first batch of export vehicles was shipped to Laem Chabang Port in Thailand. This is the first time that GAC Aion has shipped complete vehicles to overseas markets.

This car is a right-hand drive overseas version specially customized for the Thai market and has been certified by the Department of Land Transport (DLT) of Thailand. In June this year, GAC Aian signed a memorandum of cooperation with its first dealer in Thailand, officially announcing its entry into the Thai market.

Corresponding to domestic models, the 2023 AION Y Plus was launched in April this year, with a price range of 119,800 CNY to 153,800 CNY. The length, width and height of the car are 4535/1870/1650mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm. The motor has a maximum power of 100/150kW and a maximum torque of 176/225N·m. It has a built-in 51.9/61.7/69.98kWh battery and has a range of up to 610km.
