Framework Laptop 16 modular notebook warms up equipped with 85Wh battery, easy to replace

Modular laptop manufacturer Framework will be launched later this year 16-inch Laptop 16 large screen model, graphics card, storage, screen, keyboard and other components can be replaced by the user’s personal. Framework says it worked with ATL to custom-design the battery, which features a 4S1P architecture with four lithium-ion cells and a battery capacity of 85 Wh. Additionally, officials have improved the battery connector with an integrated blade connector to make battery replacement easier. In terms of lifespan, officials say the battery has 80 percent capacity after 1,000 cycles.

In terms of speakers, Framework says the audio system in the Laptop 16 takes a huge leap forward in terms of loudness and fidelity, including a pair of 1W tweeters and a pair of 2W woofers. The audio circuitry on the motherboard utilizes Renesas’ ALC295 and ALC1318 chips, both of which provide reliable support in Windows and Linux.

The laptop features a BOE semi-customized screen with 2560×1600 resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, variable refresh rate up to 165Hz, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 500 nits brightness. The display module is also self-exchangeable.

Additionally, officials say the Framework Laptop 16 is extremely rugged, with a magnesium alloy shell and machined aluminum components that are less than 18mm thick as standard and will be less than 21mm thick in the solo version. The enclosure is made up of two core mechanical components: a magnesium bottom cover and a CNC aluminum top cover. Both parts are produced by Framework in collaboration with Catcher Technology, one of the most advanced enclosure manufacturers.
