Foxconn’s Fisker Pear Electric Car Receives Over 5,600 Orders

According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Foxconn’s electric car partner Fisker announced that its electric car model PEAR has received more than 5600 units of pre-orders, PEAR plan will be manufactured in Hon Hai’s Ohio plant electric car factory.

Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker said in the earnings call that the PEAR program is progressing well and that the goal of getting a prototype PEAR on the road was reached at the end of last year.

PEAR is Fisker’s second electric vehicle. Last November, Fisker began production of its first electric vehicle, the Fisker Ocean, at its Austrian plant.

The PEAR has a range of over 300 miles (about 482.8 kilometers), and Fisker says it wants to build 250,000 electric cars at Hon Hai’s factory. In addition, Fisker expects to begin production of the PEAR in the second half of 2024, with prices starting at $29,900 (currently about RMB 208,000).
