Ford recalls 110,000 F-150 pickups due to bolt hazards

Recently, Ford recalled 112,965 F-150 pickup trucks. The reason is that the rear axle rim bolts are at risk of breaking, which may cause the vehicle to lose power or fail to use the brakes when parking. A rollover occurs.

The affected models include 2021-2023 F-150s equipped with trailer towing packages, which the National Transportation Safety Administration said may increase the risk of crashes.

If the user hears abnormal noise from the rear axle bolts, the vehicle needs to be sent to the dealer for repair. Currently, relevant recall letters will be sent out at the end of January. A Ford spokesman said the company is working on a fix and will reach a conclusion soon.

Last year, Ford recalled more than 870,000 F-150s because the electronic parking brake could activate unexpectedly at any time, which could cause the vehicle to lose control while driving and cause a car accident.
