Recently, we learned from Ford officials that all models of the Ranger series will be officially launched on December 20th. For reference, at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Ranger launched pre-sales with a pre-sale price of 158,800-215,800 RMB; the first version of the Ranger 1st Edition was announced with a price of 264,800-268,800 RMB, with a limited edition of 800 units.

In terms of appearance, the overall shape of the domestically produced Ford Ranger is quite impressive. The car has a brand-new styling design, a large-sized grille, and a double-layer banner with a horizontal penetrating design inside the grille, which perfectly matches the “C-shaped” headlights. The headlights also use matrix LED light sources.

The first version of Ford Ranger 1st Edition is equipped with front/rear steel bumpers and chassis armor. The unique design of the wading throat air inlet backwards not only increases the wading depth and ensures that the engine gets enough air, but also better integrates with the entire vehicle, effectively preventing rainwater and sand from intruding into the air intake system.

Viewed from the side and rear, the new car has a double-row cabin and a rear cargo box, and there is a thick cargo luggage rack above the body. At the same time, the new car’s taillights adopt a “figure 8” shape design and are slightly bulged outwards. Not only that, there is also a power supply inside the rear bucket of the vehicle, as well as a removable tail cover for convenient camping.

The interior center console of Jiangling Ford Ranger has a large number of leather soft bags and is decorated with orange decoration. In addition to the traditional glove box, the upper part of the center console also provides a storage box and a retractable cup holder. The buttons on the steering wheel have been locally modified, and you can see buttons such as steering wheel heating and WeChat. The new car is also equipped with a full LCD instrument panel, where tire pressure monitoring can be seen.

In the center of the vehicle is a 12.8-inch vertical central control screen, equipped with the latest SYNC 4 infotainment system. The entire multimedia system has also been locally adjusted, adding localized apps such as Amap and National Karaoke, and supports CarPlay. The new car also has intelligent voice control and is equipped with higher safety systems, including collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, door opening warning, fatigue monitoring, handheld phone monitoring, etc.

The air conditioning control can be operated on the screen and also retains physical buttons. The new car also supports automatic parking. The new car adopts a five-seater seating layout. The rear seats provide a central armrest, rear air vents and power supply. Except for the thin backrests of the rear seats, they are basically the same as passenger cars. In addition, the rear seats of the new car can also Flips up for easy storage.

In terms of power, the new car will provide a 2.3T turbocharged gasoline engine and a 2.3T turbocharged diesel engine. In terms of transmission system, the 2.3T EcoBoost gasoline engine can output 450 Nm of power performance and will provide an 8-speed automatic transmission. In terms of off-road configuration, the new car includes steep slope descent, front axle differential lock, rear axle differential lock, tank U-turn, full-time four-wheel drive, etc.
