Ford has announced that it will work with Rockwell Automation to improve its electric vehicle manufacturing lines at three production sites.

The Wisconsin-based company provides industrial automation, power, control and information solutions under the Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Software brands in industrial automation, and its products include PLCs, inverters, HMIs, motor controllers and other products.

The company’s executives are optimistic about their ability to increase Ford’s production.

We are proud to be a part of Ford’s accelerated rollout of electric vehicles to customers,” said Jane Barr, vice president of Rockwell Automation’s Global Industry Accounts. “Our open systems approach ensures that electric vehicle production meets the latest industry standards, regulations and customer expectations.”

Ford said it will work with Rockwell Automation to strengthen its electric vehicle manufacturing capabilities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs and increase responsiveness to change. Rockwell will work to enhance Ford’s electric vehicle manufacturing capabilities in Oakville, Canada; Blue Oval City, Tennessee; and the Avon Lake, Ohio facility.
