The project factory currently has two production lines and adopts a modular production method. It is said that it can facilitate the debugging and upgrade of a single module and enable multiple people to collaborate without interfering with each other, which can “greatly improve” production efficiency.

In addition, the workshop is equipped with more than 100 AGV trolleys (Note: Automated Guided Vehicle, automatic guided transport vehicles) to replace traditional conveyor rollers, which can save about 30% of manpower. The production equipment is also iteratively upgraded. Version 2.0.

Chen Maolong, deputy general manager of Yancheng Fudi Battery Co., Ltd., said that with the continuous release of production capacity, BYD power batteries will enter a period of full development and supply to many well-known domestic and foreign OEMs.

According to previous reports, Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the Passenger Car Association, issued an analysis at the end of last month, saying that the new energy vehicle and energy storage industries have been highly prosperous in the past two years, and the demand for batteries has grown rapidly. The proportion decreased.

The competitive landscape of battery companies is characterized by relatively strong competition between CATL and BYD. At present, the gap between CATL and BYD is constantly narrowing. BYD’s share has increased from 15% in 2020 to 29%, an increase of 14 percentage points; while CATL’s share has dropped by about 6 percentage points, and other battery companies The proportion has also shown a significant decline.
