Recently, the first batch of BAIC Beijing BJ30 production cars officially rolled off the production line. The new car is built on the Magic Core electric drive technology architecture, with front and rear dual-drive motors, with a maximum power of 301kW and a maximum torque of 685N·m.
The car adopts a “square box” appearance and has a unique design. It is equipped with a suspended roof and a ring-shaped headlight design on the front face. The length, width and height of the car are 4730/1910/1757 (1790) mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. It has an approach angle of 25°, a departure angle of 30°, a longitudinal breakover angle of 21°, and a maximum ground clearance of 215mm. The car has a built-in Qualcomm 8155 chip and will be equipped with L2.5-level assisted driving, and the rear seats support flat-folding.
It is learned that the new car is equipped with a 1.5T hybrid system. The engine has a maximum power of 116kW, a peak torque of 235N·m, and a thermal efficiency of 41%. The hybrid system has a comprehensive power of 301kW, a peak torque of 685N·m, and the acceleration time from 100 kilometers to 600km/h reaches six seconds. The comprehensive range can reach 1,000 kilometers. In addition, the new car is equipped with Magic Core electric four-wheel drive and is equipped with the ATS all-terrain control system, which is claimed to “easily handle more than 90% of outdoor off-road scenes.”
According to BAIC Vice President Peng Gang, the new car will be available for pre-sale during the Beijing Auto Show, with the price expected to start at 120,000 RMB.
