Firefox ushered in the version 108.0.2 update (click here to download), this has been released first for Release Preview users.
Here are the updates.
- Fixes a crash when playing videos on Mac OS X 10.12-10.14 for some users.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when managing browser history.
- WebRTC’s “Tab Shared Devices” menu item has now been changed to be located in the macOS Tools menu only.
Key highlights of the Firefox 108 stable release include
- Maps are introduced by default, allowing web pages to control the behavior of JavaScript imports.
- Firefox now correctly handles images that are color-corrected using ICCv4 profiles.
- Shift + Esc keyboard shortcut now opens the Process Manager to identify processes that are consuming too many resources.
- Support for WebMIDI API in a security context.
- Support for CSS trigonometric functions sin (), cos (), tan (), asin (), acos (), atan () and atan2 (), but currently hidden behind a preference option.
