Firefox 106.0.3 released, fixes crash and hang issues on Microsoft Windows 11 22H2

Mozilla has released a Windows-specific update for Firefox, version 106.0.3, which is now available in the stable version and brings two important bug fixes for Windows users.

According to Mozilla, Firefox 106.0.3 fixes a bug that caused it to crash on startup when running on Windows, and also fixes an issue with the latest Windows 11 22H2 suggested actions feature that was incompatible and caused it to hang when copying text on a web page.

The Suggest Action feature is a new feature that Microsoft brought to users in the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 1 update. Another way to make users’ daily tasks, such as collaborating with colleagues, more efficient is to anticipate their needs and provide suggestions for actions they may wish to take.

For example, when there is a phone number or future date in the text, Windows highlights it so that it is easy to click and make a call via Phone Link, Team or Skype, or click to schedule an appointment, add an event in the Calendar app, and include the person the user is communicating with in the invitation.
