The social platform Twitter has seen a lot of adjustments under Elon Musk’s stewardship, the core of which is to increase revenue. To convince more users to buy the Twitter Blue subscription service, Elon Musk announced that starting April 15, only verified accounts will be able to appear in the “Recommended for you” tab.

Twitter homepage currently contains two tabs, “Recommended for you” and “Following”, and users will enter the “Recommended for you” tab by default when they open the homepage. The default tab is “Recommended for you”. This tab will recommend content that is of interest to users based on an algorithm.

Tweets sent from accounts that do not currently subscribe to the Twitter Blue service will also appear in the “Recommended for You” page. And after April 15, if a business or organization wants to expand its user base, the only way to do so is to purchase a Twitter Blue subscription.

In the same tweet, Elon Musk also said that accounts that are not subscribed to Twitter Blue will no longer be able to participate in polls. He claimed that this is “the only realistic way to address the abuse of advanced AI bots.
