The new owner of social media Twitter, Elon Musk sent an email to all employees of the company, thanking them for taking over Twitter since Elon Musk took over on October 28. Persist in working long hours.

Elon Musk said he himself stayed late into the night at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco on Thursday. Elon Musk then emailed employees who returned to work in the San Francisco office, as well as those who stayed at the company after layoffs, to come and talk to him.

Twitter previously launched a $7.99-a-month “Blue V Verification” paid service, but many users abused the new service and impersonated major brands and celebrities, causing Twitter to suspend the service. Affected brands include pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, video game company Nintendo and Elon Musk’s electric car company Tesla.

Two current Twitter employees said they had received calls from former colleagues and clients asking about all the changes to the platform.

One of the people said that in the past, Twitter changed products slowly and cautiously, in order to balance user behavior, platform security and the impact on revenue. Elon Musk’s innovative model has affected company employees, advertisers and even the US Federal Trade Commission.

Twitter employees also said that Elon Musk’s email left them with a lot of questions, and they hoped that the company would clarify the new vacation policy and the specific regulations for returning to the office. This Friday marks Veterans Day, the legal holiday in the United States, and some employees didn’t expect to come to work again, while others wondered whether Twitter had exceptions for employees to continue working from home. Two employees said they have not yet received formal rules about telecommuting from the company’s human resources department.

Previously, Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey (Jack Dorsey) determined that employees can work from home forever. Elon Musk told Twitter employees this week that he was changing the company’s policy.

Here’s the email Elon Musk sent to Twitter employees on Friday:

"Yesterday I was at Twitter HQ again late into the night. I want to say thank you to those who worked there with me and those who worked remotely late at night, some staying up for longer hours.

To reiterate, you can still work remotely if you have a valid reason to be out of the office, or if you are doing very well. Even so, I am a firm believer in teamwork and the efficiency of a focused office.

I will still be at the office today. If you want to talk to me about taking Twitter a step further, come to the 10th floor. The immediate priority is immediate action."
