Elon Musk said Apple has fully resumed Twitter advertising and thanked advertisers for returning to Twitter

Elon Musk confirmed that Apple has “fully resumed advertising on Twitter”. He then tweeted his thanks to advertisers for returning to Twitter.

Apple has never confirmed or denied that it has stopped running ads on Twitter. Nor has there ever been any indication that the slowdown in advertising is due to Elon Musk buying Twitter rights.

Elon Musk visited Apple Park on Wednesday for a meeting with Tim Cook. The meeting seemed to go well, with Elon Musk noting that Cook said Apple never planned to take Twitter off the app store.

During this evening’s Twitter Spaces event, Elon Musk confirmed that Apple has once again ramped up its advertising on Twitter. “Apple has fully resumed advertising on Twitter,” Elon Musk said. He added that Apple is Twitter’s largest advertiser.

A Washington Post report earlier this week noted that Apple “spent an estimated $131,600 on Twitter advertising between Nov. 10 and Nov. 16, down from $220,800 between Oct. 16 and Oct. 22, the week before Elon Musk bought Twitter.

Apple, of course, has not publicly disclosed any information about its ad spending. We have no way of knowing if the company stopped advertising on Twitter because of Elon Musk.

In addition, Elon Musk did not specify which other companies besides Apple have reintroduced advertising on Twitter.
