Dragon is a new kind of supercar, one that has not been possible until now,” Drako Motors announced. The “Dragon” is a hybrid SUV with up to 2,000 horsepower, faster quarter-mile acceleration than a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, and seating for five members and some groceries.

In the official teaser released today, the “Dragon” looks even more distinctive than the Karma-Esque GTE, in which Drako hired Lowie Vermeersch, former design director of Pininfarina, and his Granstudio design firm to create. The renderings are very eye-catching.

Technical and engineering work is being done across the Atlantic in Silicon Valley, and the Dragon will be powered by Drako’s DriveOS four-motor powertrain, which provides precise control of positive and negative torque at each wheel. In total, the four motors will deliver 2,000 horsepower and allow for 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) acceleration in 1.9 seconds, a quarter-mile in 9 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph (322 km/h).
