On November 6 – Blizzard’s Diablo IV is slated for release in 2023, but it’s not exactly which month yet.

As XboxEra discussed on their podcast today, they revealed that Diablo IV could be released in April 2023.

According to sources at XboxEra and WindowsCentral, Blizzard is planning a massive “marketing blitz” for Diablo IV, starting with the 2022 TGA Game Awards (December 8), when they will announce the game’s April release.

In addition, they noted that pre-orders for Diablo IV should also open during the show, including various digital and premium physical collector’s editions. One of the benefits of pre-ordering will be the ability to play the public beta of Diablo IV early in February 2023.

It is also certain that Blizzard is planning to offer a microtransaction (MTX)-like war order service for Diablo IV, as the company has previously discussed on its official blog. According to sources in the foreign press, the first season is tentatively scheduled for the third quarter, although the game will go live in April.

Microsoft is currently working to acquire Activision Blizzard for $69 billion. Microsoft has previously said that it aims to complete the deal by the summer of 2023, which means that Diablo IV could potentially follow at the end of its first season on Xbox Game Pass.
