A few days ago, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza Sales Division, posted on social media: “Looking back at Bian’s online reply half a month ago, we said that we are an automotive software company, as if we are not or weak! Let me tell you that we are very strong now! You will encounter serious challenges in intelligent assisted driving systems and models in 2024. For example, Denza N7 will change the market structure and defeat model y!”

Zhao Changjiang’s article is obviously in response to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s previous remarks. We can briefly review the incident. Previous quarterly delivery data for Q4 2023 showed that BYD’s pure electric vehicle delivery volume surpassed Tesla’s and became the global pure electric vehicle sales champion. In this regard, some netizens compared the two car companies on social media, and Elon Musk responded in the comment area that Tesla is an artificial intelligence/robotics company, and in the eyes of many people it is just a car company.
