The company invested in January this year to build an in-vehicle display R&D center, dedicated to improving the research and development capabilities of complex in-vehicle modules and the ability to integrate the overall solution.

The company recently announced a new joint venture project for new display modules, which will further enhance the company’s overall shipment scale and competitive advantage, and will also strengthen the company’s dedicated line capacity for large-size modules in the display fields of automotive, industrial products and IT.

According to the introduction, SZTMC car business covers all kinds of intelligent cabin products including instrumentation, central control, HUD, rearview mirror, rear seat entertainment, etc. The size range covers a wide range of products from 2 inches to 40 inches are shipped in mass production, in the direction of large screen size can provide a single screen, double screen, triple screen and other display solutions. In terms of large in-car screens, the company has already had a layout, supporting multiple types of combinations of instrumentation, central control, passenger entertainment, etc., and has shipped to large customers at home and abroad, such as the 27+12.3-inch panoramic screen used in Lincoln, the 12.3+8.8-inch instrumentation + central control screen used in Maserati, the 21.7+12.3-inch duplex screen used by important customers in China, etc., and has also been used in more than 15.6-inch The company has made breakthroughs in large amounts and shares in projects including 15.6-inch and above in-car large screens and next-generation in-car center control platforms of global head manufacturers.

Deep Tianma also pointed out that the company has been in the car display TFT and car instrumentation field shipments for two consecutive years since 2020 to maintain the world’s first, 2021, the company’s car display business revenue growth of 27% year-on-year. Among them, the company LTPS in-car products sales growth is obvious, 2021 year-on-year growth of more than 300%. The company has formed a full coverage of major tier1 customers and OEM customers (including major new energy vehicle manufacturers) at home and abroad. On the basis of this cooperation, the company will introduce advanced production capacity such as 8.6 generation line ($33 billion investment) and new module line ($8 billion investment) for in-vehicle display business to boost the scale growth and specification upgrade of the company’s in-vehicle business.

Talking about the view on the current price of small and medium-sized display products, SZTMC said that the company focuses on the small and medium-sized display market is rich in downstream applications, and most of them are customized products, and the price fluctuations in each segment of display field such as cell phone, IT, automotive and industrial products are different. In addition to the supply and demand will affect the price, product prices also need to be integrated product specifications, risk defense ability and other factors to look at the breakdown, different demand solutions will also have different prices, the key is how to quickly meet the needs of different customers and markets.
