2022 seems to be a bit dull for CDPR, because there are no new releases. However, according to the company’s 2022 fiscal year performance report, CDPR’s sales revenue in 2022 will be about 222 million U.S. dollars, and its net profit will be about 80 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 66%. The main reason for this good result is that the sales of “Cyberpunk 2077” have increased. Compared with the same period in 2021, the sales of this game have increased by 18%.

Although part of the reason is the release of the next-generation update of “Cyberpunk 2077”, the first contribution belongs to the animation of “Cyberpunk 2077”, which became very popular after it was broadcast, attracting more people to buy “Cyberpunk 2077”. This shows that people are giving the game a chance again, allowing word of mouth to improve. CDPR shared a chart showing that after the animation of “Cyber Wanderer” was broadcast, the praise of “Cyberpunk 2077” on Steam increased significantly.

In addition, the sales of “The Witcher 3” and the revenue of the GOG platform also contributed to CDPR’s profit growth in 2022.

CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kiciński said that CDPR’s next big project is “Cyberpunk 2077” DLC “Shadows of the Past”. In addition, CDPR also plans to launch “The Witcher 4”, “The Witcher: Remastered Edition”, “The Witcher: The Sirius Project” and so on. At present, CDPR is mainly focusing on the DLC “Shadows of the Past”, but “The Witcher 4” is also stepping up development.
